All BAF tutors are experienced industry professionals
with
recognized teaching skills, most of whom devote time to the Academy in
addition to their regular jobs. This ensures maximum relevance to the real
everyday world of television, which is vital to the main objective of preparing
students for their later work in a modern-day TV environment.
Teaching Methods
A full years training comprises some 1.500 hours of
study. Building on their basic theoretical tuition, students produce a wide
variety of news reports, magazine features, documentaries and live studio
broadcasts. These are put together in team projects integrating members of
different classes.
BAF-produced items are broadcast regularly on Munichs Training Channel afk.
